Steps in Studio Part 2

With a brand new studio coming up, and a whole new sem to ravaged in, what preparations have you all really made ?

well, if u all have not started any, its time to do so (although at most times i also dont do anything...lol)

Anyway, in this new studio talk, what i am trying to highlight is IDEAS ! Through my opinion, for every idea, there could be a million designs...

for me, i always take like a week or more to decide on a great idea (if within limited time frame), or not a whole entire semester...from a great idea, you could use almost any design to suit your concept (with exceptions)...overall, never underestimate a simple design, as a great idea goes a long way...spend suffecient amount of time to plan and manage your concept, think it through thoroughly, and never just randomly or simply pick a concept...

I believe, after having a great idea or ideas, coming out a design after that may seem quite easy (depends)...however, you would still have to place in the same amount of effort into the design process as you did for the conceptualization process before this..."the amount of time u spent to design yr plan shld equal the amount of time u spent on yr roof design"...this goes for everything...yr sections, elevations, and etc.

With all that in mind, its time then for realizing it...subsequently, do not forget to get feedbacks from all your lecturers...do not just assume seeing your own lecturer is enough, instead, meet other lecturers to seek their comments...you could also ask your friends or seniors for assistance...

(when i was a junior back then, i always see my lecturers for feedbacks and at the same time, i contacted my seniors if i ever required any critiques or help with almost anything...so far, they have been really great, thx to them for everything...

So, remember, never just design for the sake of designing, but instead, enjoy the process...take time to gain inspiration...what is all the rush anyway ? studio 2 was a great example for that (my case lar...i had 4-5 designs until the exam study week...only then i started my work...it was all worth it in the end)
