Featured Project: Stage Set Design & Performance


There are 3 different plays with different genres selected by the lecturers. For the first design stage, students are supposed to split into groups that consists 5-6 members each and come up with a proposal of a stage set design, and one design for each play has been selected. Students were again split into 3 large groups and come up with a 1:1 scale stage set for each play, and perform the short play at the Purple Box Theater, located at the Taylors ADP Building.

1. When The Sun Sits On The Jambu Tree

Genre: Drama/Myth

A play about a confident young man convincing a stubborn old man about the beauty of being young. And the miracle happens when the sun sits on the Jambu Tree.

2. An Angel But In The Dark

Genre: Noir

A play based on a true story about the murder of an innocent young lady by a mentally disturbed black boy in her parents' point of view.

3. Fart-Zen

Genre: Comedy

A comedial play about using "fart" as a mean of relaxation technique.
