On the 31st of July, the Bachelor of Science (Architecture) July 2010 Intake went to Morib for their group orientation. It was a nice sunny morning at Morib as 37 newbies, 10 SABD committee members and 6 lecturers broke the ice right on the sea shore.
After a brief introduction, the students were divided into two groups for the ice breaking session. It was pretty hilarious to see them tangled up with each other. Next, the students were divided into 6 groups and were given the task of designing a space for two. They had to present their work and it was followed by a 'water test' on the built shelter.
The day ended with kite flying, Frisbees being thrown and some football. All exhausted but it was worth it!
IT REALLY WAS WORTH IT! |
