Quantifying a Surveyor's Life - Prelim

Greetings to all! As many may not know who am I, let me introduce myself. I was a Taylorian and also an SABD-ian (used to be SAQS) and fortunately graduated in December 2004. To be specific, I was from class 0201.

Starting off from Subang Jaya campus where we uses the classroom above SAM's office, we managed to fit ourselves into that studio-tutorial-lecture room. Soon after that, our school grew rapidly from just the only 10 QSes, 10 ARchis from direct entry, more joined in the big family in July 2001. At that moment our classroom usage spread to third floor of SAM block and even using CPU's classroom and lecture theatre (which i still remember LT5). Then second year was the time when our school decided to rent office units above Mediya (now extension of ADP) opposite the campus. That was the start of our school's domination where almost every Taylorian have seen our ARchi students carrying their models and large A1/A3 black bags around, in and out of the campus.

Towards the mid of second sem of 2002, Dr Kee gave us a shocking news. We are moving ! At the very first moment we thought our school actually bought up a building with few large spacious floors.. (as if!!) but we are actually not. We are just being relocated to some so called office in the jungle....BALI - Leisure Commerce Square which is where the school is now. It is supposed to be cooling and have cross ventilation which is kinda opposite of what it turns out to be... compressors everywhere! Well, fine, that isnt the point im going into. I was saying, the number of students increased drastically from the very first sem till now.. Lots have changed, some have yet to change and some might not even ever change!

However, one for sure. I know you guys here, yes, the people who worked hard to unite and get people together, work for the council, work for the school have had put alot of effort and commitment to carry the SABD society alongside of time advancement, I am very grateful to see this. Thank you for working off what we had left off. I shall have posts coming up soon and hopefully on a consistent basis. Till then, cheers!

u're right. there are compressors everywhere. and i was wondering what is the main thing making the school's environment so unbearable despite its appearance...
